    What programmes can i use for get my DivX 5.0 files to MPEG?

    Im having trouble using TMPGEnc to convert my files into the format for a DVD Disk!

    Try ConvertXToDVD or the older freeware version DivxToDVD. Watch out for MP3 VBR audio. It can cause problems with most encoders, TMPGEnc included. ConvertXToDVD can handle it most of the time. To check for VBR audio, drop the file into VirtualDub Mod or use Gspot.

    When TMPGEnc asks for the file i want to convert i get a message saying the file is not supported!

    I'm assuming you have the Divx codec installed? And if the audio is MP3 VBR or AC3, you may want to encode just the video and do the audio separately. Or you might have to raise the Direct Show reader priority. Here's a guide for common TMPGEnc problems: https://www.videohelp.com/tmpgenc.htm#problems
