  1. I recently stumbled upon a movie whose video is encoded in "VP61 / 0x31365056" and which ffmpegx can't seem to handle. Are there any other options for converting/viewing this video on OS X (G4, 10.4)? Will ffmpegx be able to handle this codec anytime soon? All replies would be greatly appreciated!

VP6 is a codec by On2, which has been licensed for use in Flash video, amongst others.
    - What is the file container (AVI, MOV, etc.)?
    - Did you try MPlayer OSX and VLC to play?

  3. The file is an AVI container, with MP3 Audio and video as stated. Of course I tried VLC first, which didn't play it. MPlayer OSX is no good either
