  1. I think TMPGENC Plus 2.521 will cause the DVD to disable Fast Forward/Rewind functionality. Everytime I use TMPGENC Plus 2.521 to create a MPG file. Then use DVDLab1.31 to create the menu and DVD. I cannot use Fast Forward and Rewind on the DVD anymore, it would freeze. What is the problem???

  2. I use TMPGEnc 2.521 to encode to MPEG2 and Ulead DVD Movie Factor 4 to author and never have problems with FF and FR.

  4. I don't think I can help you because I don't use DVDLab. It's probably some kind of interaction between TMPGEnc and DVDLab.

But I noticed your MCF file was set to produce non-interlaced, 29.97 fps output. I don't think that's legal for NTSC DVD. You need to encode interlaced to get 1:1 pulldown flags. I know some DVD players won't play progressively encoded 29.97 fps MPEG2 properly (jerky video or stuttering audio). I don't know if it will help your no-FF/RW problem though.

I use CCE or ProCoder for mpeg-2 encoding, and have never experienced these problems with any of the discs I have authored in DVD Lab Pro. Would be leaning toward this being an encoding setup problem. Especially given you are having the same issues with the non-authored source video.
