    high, nebie here on dvd-rb. ive read 6 or 7 different forums trying to get up to scratch, all the guides are atlest 18months old

    ive searched for the question but it doesnt answer

    on dvd-rb v1.09v2 after preparing the file do i encode or rebuild, do i do both, is there a difference,

  2. There are 3 stages to the process, Prepare, Encode, Rebuild. In 1-Click Mode they're done one after the other automatically and you don't have to do anything at all. And yes, there's a difference. Encoding is encoding, and rebuilding is putting all the pieces back together again.

    Rebuilder also supports a "2-Click" mode. After you have run the Prepare phase, you can just click the "Rebuild" button and DVD-RB will encode and rebuild. Alternatively, you could "Encode" and "Rebuild" separately as in "3-Click" mode. I think the reason for the separate steps is if you want to make any changes to the encoded files before rebuilding the DVD structure.

    and what changes would they be, its been about 6 hours and its only 75% encoded, im using the hc filter

  6. The length of time for DVD-RB to complete depends on the speed of your processor and the amount of RAM. I think your processor is an AMD 1800 so you can't really expect it to perform like more powerful processors.

    I use rebuilder quite often with movie only mode.I have an intel 3 ghz. 1 gb of ram,and 2 hard drives.It takes 2.5-3 hrs to encode a movie.

    its not about my computer, i did the ten pass mode, i have a dell xps 600 with 1and a half gig of ram and 3.8ghz and 3 harddrives totalling 1200gig , had loads of upgrads to make it unbelievable
