going to pick up my first DL discs this week and i was wondering if burning DL is the same as DVD5's or do you have to do it differently?

i normally choose DVD Video in Nero then just drag and drop the Vob's.

    thanks

    Yep, what he said.
I'd rip with DVD Decrypter to an ISO image then burn right back with DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn.
I've used both to burn DL and have had 0 problems.

i was thinking more along the lines of authoring to a video ts folder. is there a software that is easy/capable of doing this and putting the layer break in correctly so i don't end up with a coaster?

I have authored acouple of DL's, i just made an ISO of the VIDEO_TS folder, and burned with DVD Decrypter and let DVD Decrypter set the layer break.

You can use ImgTools or whatever to make an ISO of your folders.
