    Does anyone know of a free program that will convert vob files and mpegs to windows media format.I am using a trial one that only gives me five minutes of video.

    wme might work with mpeg2. or use avisynth as frameserver and open in wme.

    you can try Cucusoft DVD to iPod Converter
    it supports vob to mpeg
    it has no time limit
