    Hi all,

I'm new here so forgive me for posting about something that's probably been talked about before, but I did search for help.

Basically I am burning VOB files etc onto a DVD-R, I have used Nero and the audio is delayed and out of sync when it comes to playing on my dvd player though on the pc it's fine.

I tried DVD santa and the same thing has happened. I tried using Winavi but it said DVDstruct failed or something.

I don't get what's wrong with it, does anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Gem & welcome to the forum

Never used DVD Santa, but have read about others having trouble with it.
Give DivXtoDVD a try instead (the 0.5..... version is free). The resulting files can then be converted to an iso using ImgTools Classic (free) and burnt to DVD R/RW using ImgBurn (also free).

    Good luck

    Hi again,
Just wanted to let you know I used DivXtoDVD and then used ImgTools where it burned the disc and didn't seem to need the ImgBurn program.
Also bought new DVD-RW instead of DVD-R

Guess what? worked a treat, better quality no sound problems and it fast forwards now also.

Thank you very much, I have been struggling with this all for some time.

my friend recommended this site and I'm grateful he did, it's a great forum.

    Thanks again

    Hi, I certainly will.

I have on more question, do you know how to burn two VOB files onto one disk? they're episodes and I don't really want to do one per disk.

    thanks in advance

    Couple of easy methods...

Without a Menu - If you are starting from several avi's add them sequentially into divxtodvd and it will produce a single VIDEO_TS dir that can be burnt as before. If you already have multiple VIDEO_TS dir's then use DVD Shrink (freeware) in re-author mode (loads of guides to do this).

With a Menu - By far the easiest method is to use TDA. There is a 30 day fully functional free trial if this is a one off project, but isn't that expensive to buy. Again loads of guides to use this programme.

    You're fantastic you are!

Think I'll go back to using the AVIs and do both together using DivXtoDVD that way I don't have too many programs to worry about.

    Thanks a lot
