  1. Hi,

I have a DVD which I ripped to the disk. I used VOB2MPG (tried also AnyDVD). The mpg file plays with no problem however if I convert it to something else the sound is out of sync. I know that there is an option in VOB2MPG that can recalculate GOP but I would like to avoid paying if I have no warranties that it would work in this particular case.

I used restream but the problem still persists. I also extracted the m2v and audio and wanted to put it together in a mkv file using mkvmerge but when I try doing so I am getting warning "Shortened GOP ... try fixing your mpg file first".

Do I have nay other options ? Is there a free soft that could discard GOP settings ?

PS. I tried adjusting the sound manually in xvid4psp but it worked in the begging of the movie and in the other parts it did not make any difference.

    Thanks a lot.

Have you tried convert from the dvd source instead? You can load it in xvid4psp.

  6. So is there a way/soft to multiplex completely unrelated material (audio and video) ?

Let's say that I have audio stream copied from a TV to my computer and I have original video stream from DVD. How would I connect it together (force it to play together)?

I was trying to do this with this particular two streams but nether tmpeg nor mkvmerge were able to do this. I was getting errors or soem warning messages and the app did not allow me to join these two streams.

    Thanks
