    Does anyone have the setting for Archos 320 to use with ffmpeg? I have tried numerous with no success. I don't want to use a pc and that software to convert aiv to mpeg4.

    From the manual: For the AV3x0, you will need to create an AVI file that is MPEG4 Simple Profile (DivX/XviD) with a resolution of 640x480 or smaller (320x240 will do for the Archos LCD) and a sound track that is stereo MP3 CBR.
    So, try on a short clip:
    - XviD (mencoder) preset
    - XviD (ffmpeg) preset
    - DivX (mencoder) preset
    - DivX (ffmpeg) preset
    At first, only change the Video Size to 320x240, save other options for later experimentation.
    At least one of these ought to produce a workable file.
