I have been burning dvd's for awhile now and within the last 2 weeks or so i keep getting a failed burn attempt. Im using the same dvd's i have always used(Verbatim Digital Movie DVD-R), same programs(nerovision express, dvdsanta and alcohol 120%) and im using a Plextor PX-740A.

When i use NeroVision Express, it will transcode the whole movie, then switch to the part where it starts to burn and then spit out the dvd and say burn process failed, something along those lines. It never actually writes on the dvd, just spits it out. I have tried doing a couple of diff. movies and get the same results.

Then when i try to use Alcohol 120% to mount an image, it will initialize then say waiting for disk when there is a dvd in the burner.

    What gives???

Have you tried writing to the hard drive instead of burning directly to the disc from NeroVision? Then Burn the disc from Nero Burning ROM using the DVD Video template by dropping the contents of the VIDEO_TS folder that you wrote to on the harddrive into the VIDEO_TS folder in the template? Give that a shot and see if it will work for you.
