if i import my raw DV Encoder1 .AVI files into Mediastudio, trim and
cut the video
(to eliminate un needed video) and then re-save as the same .AVI
format, will I lose any quality?
I would like to do this because i have huge raw capture files, but
only a fraction of it is actually good footage, and i wan't to save
diskspace. I can't lose any quality however, or it's not worth it.

There is no re-encoding providing your output spec is the same as the source. If you are just doing straight cuts it should only take a few seconds to create the new file. If you have put any transitions or filters in, make sure smartrender is checked when you create the new file. Only the sections containing transitions will be re-encoded.

No, you should not be losting any quality. I do this all the time. Just make sure you're saving in the same format.
