  1. I have about 15 scenes for a DVD but IFOEdit only goes up to title 10. Am I doing adding scenes the wrong way (by using "add title" for each new scene) or is this a limitation of IFOEdit?

The limitation is only in how you are doing things , which is not the correct way ... so here it is :

You have 15 titles , it will need to be turned into a single title , but include 15 chapters ... am I correct this far ?

    If so , then .

To make this simple , all video should be the same format , and so should the audio , or you will run into problems using ifoedit .

From all my test's , audio is the most important component .
Best if each title has only one cell id ... to do this , proceed

1 : Demux video and audio streams form each vob to a sepearte folder .
2 : Convert all audio streams into same format (ac3 works well) .
3 : Remux back into vob's (each in a seperate folder) using ifoedit
4 : Before doing next title , use "get vts sector's" , then save .

Delete all non essential streams (video m2v's , and audio streams )

    5 : Use vidchanger , leave vob 1 alone , load vob 2 ifo
    6 : Cell change to 2 only , run .
    7 : Load vob 3 ifo , cell to 3 only , run .
    8 : Repeat till vob 15 is done .

You now have all vob titles with corrected cell id's .

    New folder .

Copy vob1 to new folder , rename to vts_01_000
Copy vob2 to new folder , rename to vts_01_001
Copy vob3 to new folder , rename to vts_01_003
Copy vob4 to new folder , rename to vts_01_004
Copy vob5 to new folder , rename to vts_01_005
Copy vob6 to new folder , rename to vts_01_006
Copy vob7 to new folder , rename to vts_01_007
Copy vob8 to new folder , rename to vts_01_008
Copy vob9 to new folder , rename to vts_01_009
Copy vob10 to new folder , rename to vts_01_010
Copy vob11 to new folder , rename to vts_01_011
Copy vob12 to new folder , rename to vts_01_012
Copy vob13 to new folder , rename to vts_01_013
Copy vob14 to new folder , rename to vts_01_014
Copy vob15 to new folder , rename to vts_01_015

That's the correct naming format .

Now delete all non-essential files no longer required .

Open vobedit , open vob vts_01_000
Go to File , "join vob cells"
You will be asked where to save it , choose a new folder .
Let it go , when done , close vobedit .

Open ifoedit , down below , choose "create ifo's"
Locate that new vob , now named vts_01_1 .
You have 2 sets of options here in this box .
On the left , the upper most option is correct .
On the right , the upper most option is correct .
Default save is to same folder , that's fine .

    Let it rip ...

Remember to use "get vts sector" , and then "save"

Not only will this now play , but you can jump between chapters ... nice .

Just wait till I finish this next guide ... I show how to create subtitles for each vobcell ... it drove me nutt's .

And its 4 full movie title's on one dvd ... basically my way of getting player's that dont support vcd playback ... but I include the work's .

    Motion menu's .
    Chapters .
    Subtitle's .
    Multiple audio source's .

    If I cut it back , it's possible to fit 6 full title's in mpeg1 format .

The guide is hugh , broken into sections for newbies .
    Only use's freeware .

Be online just after xmas in guide's section of forum .

  3. Thank you for the detailed response, though I don't really understand much of it like "get vts sector", "cell id" etc, which I need to learn more about. I should've mentioned that my 15 "scenes" consist of 15 sets of m2v, wav, and sup files which were converted and split from a DV AVI file. Would that simplify the process? Otherwise, I think I'll just use less scenes/chapters.

The "get vts sector's" in ifoedit is a must when authoring from component stream's , otherwise the thing may not play , or lock your player up .

As for your audio , I dont play about with wav's ... I stick with ac3 because it hasn't been any issue's with ifoedit so far ... they may work , or not .

    As a rule , wav's are too big , ac3 is better .

If you follow the original info I posted , you'll get exactly what you need from it ... just take your time
