Nero sucks. It cannot do many things correctly, DL is one of them. Use RecordNow 7.

What exactly are you starting with, source-wise?

Have you got your own made creations? Or is it just a copy of a commecial release? And then, are you burning an ISO or importing the VIDEO_TS folder?

Do you get to select your own layer break? Or is it automatic?

I saw the post about the layer break problem and someone mentioned copytodvd and so I tried it with some Verbatim +R Dual layer dvds I bought. And I put a few of my movies in my Panasonic / MATSHITADVD-RAM SW-9583S to read and allowed CopytoDVD and DVDFab Express to do the rest and a successful 1:1 burn was made.

The Dual Layer burners I have are the Panasonic SW-9585-C and the PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-109 firmware 1.17 ... both have worked just fine and ... both are connected by USB inside BYTECC external enclosures.

I have not tried burning a VIDEO_TS folder ripped to my HD ... yet.

I have only done ... Copy DVD to DVD
