  1. Im having a little problem where when im converting form Divx - DVD - I get a
    playback problem. The film has a slight jerking in the film. its not that bad but
    it is noticeable. Im just wondering is this due to a setting i use while encoding
    with TMPGEnc ... ? or is it due to how the film has been ripped in the 1st place ... ?
    or even something else totally altogether ... ?

    I've encoded 100's of films but only just came across this problem as of latley.

    I would expect it is a byproduct of how it was originally ripped. Also, you may be converting from PAL to NTSC or vice versa.

    Also if you are going from NTSC-Film to NTSC you will get this with converters which just add the extra frames and not using pulldown.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
