    Hello,
Does anyone know where I can Download 720X480 footage for, news programs, or September 11 footage or stuff that you would see on COPS. For a video I am working on. All I can seem to find is 320x240 and that isn't going to cut it. If anyone knows I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Craig

You're not going to find anything like that.

You'll have to go get some DVDs and extract the clips you want. I know for a fact that even Best Buy carries DVDs on topic like this.

  3. Or buy a DVD recorder and cap footage about 911 on tv/cable. History Channel is a good resource.
    Quality is my policy.

Good suggestions. That is what I was planning on doing but wasn't sure if anyone knew of a site.
    Thanks

There are plenty of archive sites of public domain footage and you'll have to weed through lots of crap but there are definitely clips and short films at full D1 resolution (720x480.)

Use archive.org to search the most popular public domain sites. Most things come in around 500ish X 480 and mpeg2 but there are some at 720x480 and even some High Def material. Most is very old footage and films from 40's or 50's but there are some modern gems in there too.
