  1. Hi all,
I am building a project were I must have old footage of famous historic speeches, i.e. JFK, Winston Churchill etc.
Does anyone know of any good websites that facilitate this please.
I have looked on google but only get the audio or transcripts, but I need the footage. apart from this website
    http://www.thoughtequity.com/video/home.do?mkid=Download-download%20footage&gclid=CPrE...FUIw3godwjCH1w
    which is very expensive.
    Is their any other sites?

    Thank you so much,

    josel

Check archive.org. They have a lot of old news footage that might be of use.

You can visit the US presidential libraries online from this page: http://www.archives.gov/presidential-libraries/visit/ Look to the left hand column for online links. They have some video available.

I imagine Great Britain, France and other countries may have similar archives, though it may take a bit of searching. Start with a govenment link and you may be able to find them that way. Or do a search for ' video, speeches, winston churchill ' or similar.
