    Hi there....

Got some family movies on a dual layered dvd disc, but it won't play in my pioneer player.....are they not supported yet...or do I need to do something different? Single layers play fine, but not this....any help would be grateful....

    thanks in advance.

It is possible that your Pioneer doesn't play Dual layer DVD's. Which player is it?

I assume it was a dvd+r dl disc ... your pioneer doesn't support +r/rw discs so therefore won't play a +r/rw dl disc

  7. That's the Pioneer DVR-320 DVD Recorder? If so, it does not play DVD+R dual layer discs, does play +R single layer though.

Try to find a modified firmware for your burner to set the booktype to dvd-rom.Improves the compatability to about 90%.
