    Which DVD Recorders will now support Dual/Double writing? Also, are there going to be firmware upgrades that will allow older machines to write to DL discs? Thanks!

    and regarding firmware upgrades, this will not happen because the Dual Layer burners are designed to burn to dual layer from the outset unlike single layer burners.

    Most LG models support dual format and +R dual layer and Divx.

    Only gripe I have about LG - once main power off, clock and all schedule programming are gone !

  7. I mentioned one in the dvd recorder forum months ago that writes DL & it was about $234. But its not the type you want.
