Today I ripped a DVD recorded in a Sony DVD+R/RW recorder to my laptop.
I used MpegVideoWizard to convert the files into Mpeg2 video with Mpeg audio (original audio is AC3).
All but one converted fine. The problem file plays fine at first, but after reaching a point where I stopped the recorder and minutes later resumed, the picture starts to break up and finally freezes.
At this point playing the converted file in a software DVD player shows the counter numbers continuing along as if everything were fine - but the pic is frozen. Sound sometimes continues to play and sometimes not.
I repeated this on my desktop (using the same programs) with the same results.
The original DVD plays fine w/o problems.
Can anyone tell me what to check this VOB for and how? Please.
