avi to M-VCD // poor quality

hi major,

ffmpegx ist running great ...but i need a little bit support regarding the quality.

i'm trying to konvert an avi-file to fit on a single cd-rom! everythings work fine, but the result in full-screen mode is realy poor.

why i'm not able to use option "Dering" and "Deblock"? both turned grey ...

Dering and deblock are only supported for mpeg-4 encoding, but don't forget that the main parameters of video quality are the image size and the video bitrate.

thanks for your quick reply! yes, i'm using your great app since a long time ...but i'm wondering, how windows user making "m-vcds" with over 90min of playtime in really good quality!

i'm not a nerd, but i found out that there is a special optimized template for the "Tmpgenc MPEG Encoder" (!?!) to make this possible!

will ffmpeX be able to create m-vcds in adequate quality any time?

You may try KVCD if your player supports them, you can put over 100 min. on a CD.
