Is power DVD the best out there or is there better?
I was wondering if there were any programs like PowerDVD but is free so she can watch DVD's on her computer in the meantime. I tried a search but I'm not really sure what I should be looking for.

VLC Media Player is another good free option, which I like better for playing DVDs than MPC. I still like MPC for mpeg-1 and .avi files. The VLC Media Player is part of the VideoLan package which is meant for playing media files over a network, but the player can be downloaded and installed separately.
