    Hi
Can anybody help me? Recently I installed Power DVD v.7.3 in my system, the problem is there is no command for opening DVD from hard disk, does anybody know how I can bring it to OPEN pop-up menu?
(This command is missing; Open DVD drive on hard disk drive)
    Appreciate any help in advance.

i have 7.2 and won't install 7.3 because of that "problem". from what i heard it's a deliberate action to make circumventing drm more difficult.

I'm using 7.3 Ultra. In it, you can click on the hard drive icon on the bottom, then on "Open movie file on hard disk drive" then browse to a folder (either the VIDEO_TS or main movie folder). See picture below.

The folder must contain either a VIDEO_TS.IFO file or a VR_MANGR.IFO (for some video recorders); else the "OK" button will be greyed out. Thus you can't play a folder with just IFOs and VOBs like you'd get from, say, a DVD Decrypter IFO rip. For a little more info see here:

from what i've gathered the latest version won't allow you to play blueray or HD content from a hard drive like it used to(a drm request from "them"). regular dvd folders still work according to squash.

    Squash,
Thanks for your help, I think I tried this before but it didn’t play (of course I am not sure) I will check it tomorrow and I will inform you.
If it didn’t work I will uninstall Power DVD.
