Dvd to .iso for burning?

My dvd burner is messed up. It will not author a dvd but I can burn .iso files. I was wondering what other programs than Dvd Decrypter can cut out trailers and extras and make the program menu and movie into an .iso file?
I was also thinking, if there isn't a program like this, what would be the best method to create vob to iso... or mpeg2 to iso??

Why not use DVDShrink? It can output ISO with Decrypter installed. For VOB to ISO, look at this thread: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=269627

I don't understand what your burner has to do with authoring?

When I first installed my dvd burner I tryed to burn a dvd but it kept freezing on me and I had a bunch of coasters. It would take 4 hours to burn a disk and about an hour through is when it would mess up.
However, today I burned an .iso file onto dvd and it only took 4 minutes and worked perfectly.
I don't know either but I'm happy to know that my money didn't all go down the drain!
