ISO to DVD burning?

Hi all, firstly am glad to have found this site as it appears to have lots n lots of useful and helpful info.

I came across this site after i had a problem burning some files to a dvd.

I have an ISO file on my pc (Fitness video) and when i open it up it has:

VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01.0.IFO
VTS_01.0.VOB
VTS_01.1.VOB
VTS_01.2.VOB
VTS_01.3.VOB
VTS_01.4.VOB

Now this is a dvd which has menus which are linked to different parts of the dvd. I am totally confused of how to burn this onto a dvd to use on my dvd player.

Anyone please help, im only used to straight burning avi's onto dvds

Im on a mac and use roxio toast to do my usual burning

You should be able to play the ISO of the DVD with VLC player to see if the DVD structure is working. If so, you just need to use a Mac ISO burning program to burn the DVD. Since this is a Mac question, probably better in our Mac Forum. Moving you.

make a folder with the following name:

VIDEO_TS

throw all those files into that folder and drag it onto the apple video player to check and see that it will play fine...

Ummm.... re-read the original post... if they have an ISO, obviously they already have a VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS folder contained within the ISO and in order to "throw" all those files into a new VIDEO_TS folder they would have to extract all those files from the ISO
I seriously doubt someone made an ISO without either of those folders and just containing the dvd files....

Do what redwudz said, most likely, just burning this ISO to dvdr with whatever program MAC user's use to burn ISO/Image files to dvdr will result in a perfectly fine and playing dvd.

i re-read it, he makes no mention of going into a 2nd folder and i have downloaded ISO files that had that very same problem...

[Case]

I have an ISO file on my pc. I use roxio toast to do my usual burning

If this ISO file is a ready-to-burn disk image, then go to Toast's Copy tab, use the Image File option, select your file and burn.

VTS_01.0.VOB

I presume VTS_01_0.VOB, as VOB files should have two underscores and one dot.
If burning directly from the image file doesn't work, then you could create a copy of the correct folder structure on your hard disk. The folder structure should be like so:

Go to Toast's Video tab, select the VIDEO_TS Folder option, drop the VIDEO_TS folder on the Toast window and burn.

I'm surprised that no one has suggested that you mount the ISO with either OS X's disc image mounter or Toast and see if DVD Player will play it. DVD Player is a lot fussier than VLC so if it plays it then you can be 99% sure that it's a kosher image and you can just burn with Toast's Copy->Image File option.

You can use Disk Utility or my own droplet to burn an ISO or IMG file to DVD.
