im trying to burn a iso/video files, but they dont seem to work well with my ps2 dvd player. the odd thing is, they work in my standalone dvd player, all 3 of my computer's dvd players, and anything else i put it in, but not my ps2. i know its not because of the DVD's im using or that it doesnt support dvd+r, because i have something ive burned before that works without any problems. the problem is that when i try to play, the closest thing i can discribe as to whats happening it that its like the dvd is skipping. im using nero to burn the dvd's. im guessing its a burning option im missing. ive even tried to use daemon tools to see if the iso would run with any problems, and there arent any, so that would rule out a bad rip.

Is the ISO a disc image of a DVD-Video disc?

As far as I recall, the PS2 can be a bit picky, at times. Are you using the same DVD media (the discs) as the discs that worked?

the ps2 has the cheapest most finicky of all dvd drives. verbatim dvd-r is your best bet burned with imgburn. if the drive has been abused at all with swap tricks or no solder mods it's probably junk. at best it's an extremely poor dvd movie player to begin with when they're brand new.

yes, the mdia is the same, sony dvd+r's. i havent burnd movies in a long time so thats what makes me thing its a setting problem. i would think that the ps2 is a junk dvd player to begin with, but the weird thing is that it seems to be only now that these 2 dvds dont work. all other dvds work, burned or not, but only these 2 that ive tried so far. if i do a direct copy of another dvd, it works. anyway, ill try that program aedipuss gave.
