  1. Hello:
I have some DVD backups of old TV shows. Im only getting sound out of one channel (the right speaker) only. Is there a way I can at least get the sound from the good channel to also come out of the left channel so that there is sound coming from both channels together. Im not a expert but am a little more than a newbie so guys if you can explain in laymans terms that would be great.
    Thanks in advance

Are these backups of a DVD, or ones you have created from another source ? If not DVD, what is the source, and do you still have it available to you ?

What process did you use to create these backups ?

  3. The easiest way is to buy an RCA splitter(Y) and connect the input to the right channel of the DVD player.
The best way is to use VOBEdit->demux,use TMPGEnc to make audio mono, author and burn.

  4. Hi:
most of the DVD backups came from VHS tapes or 16mm film. I made copies from DVD disc's I don't have the original tapes. I used DVD shrink to make these backups.

Demux the audio, load it into an audio editor, copy the right channel of the left (or save it as joint stereo, if the option is available), reencode the audio (assuming it to be mp2. if LPCM, not necessary) and remux and author.
