  1. Im very sorry if this has been gone over b4 but I have searched the forums and never come up with the right threads.

I have converted some xvid files to MPG1, they are not great quality as I have fit 24 20 mintue programs in on 1 DVD. They work file except if you try to move them back to rewatch a part of an episode it freezes and although the time will continue to move forward it will freeze on a still image. This will happen to 90% of the video unless you put the locator almost back to the very begining, so if you miss something you must watch the entier thing again to get to it.

When transfered to DVD the problem persitsts. Also some avi's I have got do the same. Could anyone please point me in the direction of some help. Thank you

I believe it is because the files are not indexed correctly. Try this on one of them and see what happens: https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=184&howtoselect=5;22#184

I would agree with the indexing problem. If the suggested solution doesn't work and you still have the Xvids, you might try DivFix or DivXRepair or just open them with Virtualdub and it should tell you about discontinuities in the video because of bad joins or corruption of the file.
