Unable to play avi files

Hi all,
I am pretty new to this web site.

My problem is-- Today I have downloaded one movie from rapidshare and it is of 900MB. But the problem is it is divided in to 5 parts. The title are named as it is like this
"wwwww.2007.DVDRip.Xvid.900MB.By.HFZ.avi.005.0 01"
"wwwww.2007.DVDRip.Xvid.900MB.By.HFZ.avi.005.0 02"

like this 5 parts are there I have downloaded now entire movie.

Now the problem is what exactly the file format is. I have tried like this, I have renamed the file by editing ".005.001" in the first filename so that I have got it in ".avi" format and it played well. when I try to follow the same principle to the rest of the files it is not working for some reason. though each file showing me it is 200MB file but it is not playing in any player(VLC, JET audio, Windows media Player, quick time player).

Where exactly I was wrong and If I want to merge all the files into one file what should I do.

Just ask HFZ how to extract and play the movie....or buy/rent it. Problem solved.
