Hi,
I have the latest versions of the Nero Suite and have tried uninstalling / reinstalling (& used Nero Clean Tool) reinstalling DirectX but I still have the same issue where NVE now crashed if I either try to create a DVD (crashes at the point it starts to transcode the first AVI's) or even if I try to add a MPEG clip. It was working fine till I upgraded to the latest Version of Nero & installed the latest demo of Ulead Movie Factory (now uninstalled!).
I presume I have stuffed up a MPEG Codec - any ideas on how to fix would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Nathan

Worst case scenario: Backup all your valuable data. Format your system drive. Make a fresh OS install. Sometimes even faster than trying to fix the problem by chasing rouge codecs.

I have the exact same problem. I go to enode and it crashes giving me an error report to submit. This is driving me crazy. I need to figure this out soon. Anyone else experience this or better yet figured out a fix?

Well, there are other (and IMO much better) applications available for AVI (or anything else) to DVD...

If you are using NeroVision Express 3.1.0.0D, then there ia a patch (SMCpatch.exe) on the Nero website on the lower left of the screen.
I had a similar problem 3.1.0.0d but the patch fixed it.
good luck
