Open 8cm DVD-RAM Cartridge???

I'm trying to help a friend out who has an older Hitachi camcorder. It
uses double sided RAM cartridges. I know these can be opened, the
Maxell liner of the case they come in says so.

I have searched high an low and found some references to pushing
this or that with a pointed tool but no clear instructions. I want to
try reading the disks on a PC DVD burner (LG)...

Help would be appreciated. Pics would be even better....
