  1. Hello,

Im having a hell of a time with my stupid mini dvd camcorder. I recorded my sis wedding in HD using mini dvds. I have the sony HDR-UX7 and recorded it in avchd. Whenever I put the disc into my computer it comes up as a blank dvd. I need to edit the video but I cannot get the video off the disc! I've tried 4 different computers and they all report it as a blank dvd. I lost the stupid software that came with the camera, but I doubt that would do anything. I have SOny Vegas 7e which supports avchd but it also does not recognize that there is a disc in the drive. BTW, I finalized the disc. I wanna smash this POS camcorder. Only the PS3 plays the disc. Please help. Is there some soft of software that will read these discs? Windows, Nero, and VEgas don't recognize it.

    thanks

Yeah, I recall something about that. It has to do with the way the image is stored on the disk. I can't recall if using CDmage or ISOBuster allowed you to extract the data, or if there's a driver update on your PC that's required. But there might be hope. . So you no longer have the driver disk ? If not, step 2a below will help.

    1) Download Cdmage and try extracting with it. If that doesn't work, then go to step 2.

    2) Google UDF 2 AVCHD

2a) Google "thdudf.inf" . Do a registry backup before you install it.

I had the same problem with the disks from my HDR-UX5, the "thdudf.inf" UDF driver did the trick. Disk and all files are now accessible.
