  1. Program being used: Premiere 6
As it stands, I would prefer to encode my videos with divx avi and with just video, its great. But, when I add sound (in the form of mp3, the file size explodes. What I was wondering is if there is a plugin for premiere or another piece of software that would encode the sound just as well. I've seen entire movies not take up much space before and know that I can get a three minute video to be less than 10 meg (as it currently is). I've seen it done but can't find anything to do it.

Any help is greatly appreciated. My goal is 3-5meg and I know it can be done.

  2. I guess I could save the premiere files as unompressed avi and compress them with vdub but then what combo of codecs would give me an average picture and audio quality while keeping the file size as small as possible?
