Greetings,
I am using DVD Decrypter latest version with a NEC 2500A. The media is Ridata +RW.
Yesterday, after days of working fine, DVD Decrypter "decided" that blanking a RW media would take a very long time. I noticed in the log that Quick erase was set to no. Maybe is it the problem, but I am not sure because I never noticed this part of the log.
Anyone had the same issue or knows where to change the setting to enable Quick erase to yes? I did not see this setting in any of the setting tabs.
Thank you

Define a long time. The 2500A burns RWs at 2x speed. If you don't do a quick erase, then expect it to take 30+ minutes to erase the disk, as it writes to every sector, rather than just resetting the allocation table. If you need to erase the disk, do it forst by going Tools->Drive->Erase Disk->Quick
Read my blog here.

Greetings,
The erase was taking about 10 seconds. Now, it takes more than 3 minutes. About the 2500A burning +RW at 2x, it is not true. I am burning at 4x my ridata. In fact, I think 4x is the max you can do with any +RW.

Greetings,
No update to the firmware since a while, no update to Windows XP, no new software installed. I ran some tests, and for each DVD +RW, it says the disc needs to be formatted and it takes 7 minutes per disc.
Do you know if there is any setting I can turn off about that that had been turned on somewhere?
Thank you
