I've burnt backups of a couple of my dvd's using 321 Studios DVDXCopy.
I'm using a Lite-on dvd burner on my computer with these dvdshttp://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=17-132-382&depa=0. And my dvd player is this one http://reviews.designtechnica.com/review656.html.
The problem is that towards the end of the movie, it'll start skipping or completely freeze up. I was wondering if it's a burn problem or if it's something with the dvd player.
Help please.
Thanks
Steven

Sounds like Bad Media. Burn at slower speed and maybe try a different brand of media.

I agree...burning at a slower speed may help, but a higher grade media would be best.

You could scan the DVD with CDSpeed2000 using the Disc Quality test to check for errors and to see how the graph looks towards the end of the disc.

just buy better media, ridata are crap, and lately getting worse.
check there site for the story on the dye they use is sub par,and have now changed over to different brands.

Ok, I'll try using a better media next time. It tics me off though because I bought a bundle of 100 for only $45 and now I'm going to have to pay like $20 for 25 of them.
BTW, what brand would you recommend?
EDIT* Legacy any good? Or should I just go with verbatim? -
If you want quality, go for top notch. Verbatim Pastel is your friend - Taiyo Yuden!

I noticed you linked to DVD+RW discs, any reason why you're using +RW media?? The DVD player may simply be having difficulty reading the rewriteable discs. Get +/-R media for more compatible discs on standalone DVD players.
