windows xp with soundblaster live?

i'm running windows xp pro with a soundblaster live 5.1 platinum, and i can't seem to get the drop down launcher to run, it'll show up but it won't "drop down", just kinda flashes for a sec, then goes back up.

i also get "rcenter.exe" errors everyonce in a while, but they don't seem to be affecting anything.

anyways, just wondering if this is specific to my configuation or if anyone else is getting these problems with the creative software. thanks.

Well they have released the update patch for all of that software at http://www.soundblaster.com already, so be sure to get that and install it. If you do not, Creative's software will not work. When I first got XP and I used the old Win2K drivers, my EAX wouldn't work and lots of other things would not work. Now with the updates, I only use EAX, AudioHQ, and the Mixer thing anyway, but it all works again.
