Hi,
1)I intend to split an AVI file which was ripped from DVD into two so that i can convert into VCD.
I had followed the guide given here by using VirtualDub. I follows the instruction given but got ths message:
"VirtualDub Error:
The source video stream uses a compression algorithn which is not compatible with AVI files. Direct stream copy cannot be used with this video stream."
Anyone know what it mean? How can i rectify it.
Any solution please/alternative way of splitting an AVi file?

As I said in your other thread, your encoding software should let you specify a range you wish to encode. Either that or you could use a simple AVISynth script as input to your encoder and use the Trim() function to specify your range.
If in doubt, Google it.
