  1. I have used both avidemux and virtual dub.

    Here is my issues, lest say I cut frame 300 to 600. and save it as a separate video file. I always get frame 250 to 600. Even though I try to cut 350 or even 400 to 600, it still cuts 250 to 600.

    Is there any reason it is doing this , and how can it be fixed.

    Here is my system specs.

    win7 32bit 7100
    4g ram
    3ghz e3110 cpu
    500gig 32cashe seagate hd
    8800gt 512meg video, ega.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Without details about your source file, I would guess that you are trying to cut on non-I-frames and the software leaps to the nearest one before your selected cut point. You will need to use a smart rendering software to make frame accurate cuts.
