    I'm new at converting so I may be missing something simple here. I'm trying to open an mpg file in Virtual Dub to convert to Divx and every time the file gets to about 90% open I get an error saying "Mpeg Import Filteracket sync error on packet stream (17f04d50)". If anyone knows a way to fix it or to get around this error with another pragram it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    well that means your mpeg is fukked you might have bad frames go here and check it out:
