Unable to install avisynth: Error opening file for writing

Hi there,

I've never used avisynth before but I'm trying to install it on my windows 7 laptop.
As soon as installation begins I receive an error message saying,

Error opening file for writing:
C:\Windows\system32\avisynth.dll

I am the system administrator and I do not run any anti-virus programs that might interfere. I tried unchecking the 'read only' box in system32 properties, but that didn't work and I get an error saying "error applying attributes" and the box always remains checked. Maybe this is the source of the problem?

Does the avisynth.dll file already exist in the system32 filder?

@ximon I also faced this problem before, but i realise that once avisynth.dll is in system32 folder you can't install any fresh copy, so just find that file in "C:\Windows\system32\avisynth.dll" and delete it...
