I recently purchased this card, partially with the intent of being able to rip all of my old VHS tapes onto CD (much more portable that way). But I've found that with Macrovision protected tapes, the ATI Video In program will not allow me to record. I've heard that there are some hacks that will allow me to disable Macrovision for this card, but I have been unable to find any. Does anybody know what I am looking for and more importantly, where I can get it at?
Thanks

I have the same problem. The only hack I could find was for the TV-Out function, but not for capture. I know it depends on the so called "MV-Codec" (MV=Macrovision) installed by the driver, but it won't work if you uninstall it.
This is a problem with EVERY ATI board!
Finally I gave up and used a BT8x8 based card to BACKUP (Does any "Hollywoodian" know that a backup copy is legal?) my copy protected videos.
