  1. Ok...this might sound odd but it's really somthing Im not sure. When I burn my iso, is there any differences when I select the .mds? I notice every iso I make there is a .mds go with it. Usually I select the iso file only and it burns fine, but not sure what the .mds is and if it will work the same way. Thanks!

.mds files contain metadata for your iso image. Basically, they contain added information about how to burn your disk. Generally you don't actually need the information in the .mds file unless you are burning on dual layer media or from split images (one image split into chunks to get around Fat filesize limitations) but if you've got both the iso/img and the .mds, just load the .mds. It can't hurt.

  3. By all means use the .mds. I just got the latest DVDDecrypter and copied a DVDR using ISO>READ / ISO>WRITE. When I selected the ISO to burn, Decrypter admonished me for choosing the wrong file. It said it would choose the correct one for me, but I was not to do it again!

Really? I haven't upgraded yet. I guess he's trying to get people in the habit of using the .mds now that double layer recordables are slowly starting to be used.
