    My Sony DRU-530A won't burn TDK 8x DVD-R media at 8x. Nero and other apps say that the maximum burn speed is 4x. I have upgraded to the latest firmware 2.1c. Device Manager says that the drive is runnimg at Ultra DMA Mode 2. My disk drives are at Ultra DMA Mode 5. Do I need Sony media? Any ideas? Thanks...

    That Sony isn't a Sony, but a Liteon or a Benq.
