No matter how I encode an SVCD in TMPG , cbr, 2 pass, whatever...nero tells me that its a non compliant svcd
Error is wierd too...says that it should be 480x480 29.97 hz, and that i have an invalid stream of 480x480 29.97frame/sec.....isnt that the same thing?
using 5.5.0.3 of nero and newest tmpg

  2. Try uncheking "Create standard SVCD" in NERO

  3. hrm...also certain versions of nero have differing compliant checking...some versions accept more than others

  4. Try Nero ver 5.5.4.0 , still chucks up the standard warning but if diabled still works ok.

Are you using anything else to cut/join, if so they can also take a compliant film and make it uncompliant but still works fine in nero when egnoring warning.

I know mpg 1 & 2 strem headers are diffrent to vcd, svcd hence the error in Nero. But both play mighty fine in my standalone dvd. (unless you've strayed outside the accepted norm's for your end format). Hence (x)vcd and (x)svcd.

Nothing of worth but might help!!

    Cheers.

P.s Its that time of year again

    Merry Christmas to all...
