VOB is a video format. Exactly which format would you like to convert it into?

Edit: If you say what you want to use it for then perhaps you might get some format suggestions.

  3. I would like to convert it into an MPEG file format.

I was kind of wanting to take the 5 different VBO files from a DVD and make them into one big MPEG two hour movie. Or maybe an AVI or DIVx movie.

There are several ways to get one big mpeg, most involve demuxing the audio and video out of the vob then remuxing into an mpeg then joining the files. I would recommend using Womble Mpeg Video Wizard which will accept your VOBs, you can join them and output to mpeg all in one go. Free 30 day trial.

well then, I'd suggest you browse through the guides section to your right. In particular, here for DVD to AVI, or here if you wish to conver tback to MPEG.
    If in doubt, Google it.

You can use DVD Decrypter IFO mode/ no file splitting, then you'll end up with one large VOB. You can also use DVD Decrypter to demux VOB files. If the files are already on your hard drive, use Rejig to demux them. Then you can remux them to an MPEG2 file with TMPGEnc - use the MPEG TOOL option. Regarding Womble, ZippyP is dead on. It's a great editor especially if you want to do more than just join files.
