I never used one before, but if the card is BT848/878 based try the universal WDM driver http://sourceforge.net/projects/btwincap
As you will see, itīs still under development and may cause some minor problems depending on HW configuration.
In my case, it works fine.

  3. What OS do you use? I use the same card under Windows ME and capture with VirtualDub at 352x576 (VfW Drivers). No Problems. Remember that you have to switch off overlay display at this resolution.

  4. Since you did not list your system specs, I'm assuming your machine has enough horsepower to capture with minimal frame dropping at resolutions higher than 352x240.

Start up VirtualDub and go to File/Capture AVI.

Under Video, turn on Preview mode.

Under Capture, click on "Hide on capture".

Now you can go in and set a custom size such as 480x480.

You won't be able to see what you're capturing, but you should be able to get a rough idea of when to start/stop via listening.

Overlay mode for many graphics cards is limited to ###x240/288. Trying to change the 240/288 to a higher number will give you an error message in Overlay mode.

TheInformer, thanks for the information I had the exact same problem and it worked.

morharsar, Also make sure that virtual memory is correct(don't let windows do it for you). I used both Huffyuv and PicVideo compression.
