I want to capture video from my tv-card (PAL 720x576)...to be displayed in the end on a beamer with 800x600 or 1024x768.
Now in what resoltion should i capture:
720x576 or
800x600 or
1024x768
To get the best results?
Also which codec/format should i use to save my uncompressed (Huffyuv) videos to? I tried WMV, nice filesize, but the video has no smoothness.

Your best bet would be 720 x 576 and use mpeg2 at a bit rate of around 8000kbs. This is DVD compliant resolution so just do everything as if you are capturing to turn it into a DVD (even if you aren't because you may want to at some time in the future).
Your capture software may even have a predefined template for PAL DVD.
