Hi.
I'm attempting to remove a logo from a video file that is ~550MB using Delogo in VirtualDub. I followed this guide which is well written:
http://neuron2.net/delogo132/delogomanual/delogo.htm
and the finished test product is excellent but when I go to Delogo the entire video file it starts to process it but predicts the file output to be ~10GB.....I let it go for awhile and sure enough when it was 1/2 way through it had used 5GB of my HD space - so I stopped it. Am I missing something or have the wrong setting(s)? Shouldn't the output file be approximately the same size as the input file? Thanks in advance.

You have to tell Vdub what codec to use on output, and set the codec up if possible. Vdub by nature just spits out raw video which is huge.
I usually frameserve vdub output to an encoder to get MPEG2. No large intermediate file that way. -
Thanks for replying FOO:
Could you walk a newbie through what you suggested?
TIA

Frameserving feeds the video directly from Vdub to your encoder. It does two things, no intermediate file to fill up space and no re-compression which robs quality. guide here.
