I ripped a DVD to Divx with AC3 fine. Now I want to re-encode the divx file to a different size but Dr Divx wants to convert the audio to MP3 and I cannot find a way to retain the AC3 audio. Please Help!!!

use the dvd as your source. Re-encoding the already-compressed mpeg-4 back-up is not a good idea if you have a better source to start from.
Second: use virtualdubmod, set audio to direct stream copy and encode only the video stream.Sorry, I had to go see about a girl -
This is what I have been doing...using Vitual Dub...but am also trying to convert existing Xvid files using Dr Divx and retaining the AC3 as Dr Divx does a much cleaner job of it than Vdub...

Convert to a new divx using dr. divx, you can select no audio if posssible if not just use audio.
Then use virtualdubmod to add the ac3 from the old divx,
Open the old divx and stream->stream list and demux to get the ac3
Open the new divx, select video->direct stream copy and the video wont be reconverted. Add the ac3 audio under stream->stream list add.
Save as a new divx. -
Gotcha.....was just making sure I was not missing something within the DR that could handle it all for me....but thanks for the advice...
