I have a Hauppauge MVP box that I run SageTV on. SageTV is able to play DVDs that I have ripped to my server's hard drive. The MVP can handle MPEG-2 video, but not AC3 or PCM audio, so the Sage software transcodes on the fly.
I have been experiencing some stuttering with a concert DVD that has PCM audio and would like to do a permanent conversion to MP2 audio so that the MVP can play the files natively, without transcoding. I would prefer to do this in such a way that I retain the existing DVD menus.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Lee

Step 2 is where you convert to MP2.
