Anybody know how the Epson R200/300 printers align the cd/dvd tray for printing? What is it doing when it goes in and out before printing? What are those 4 white marks on the top of the tray next to those holes for? Is there some type of optical alignment taking place using those marks and holes? Does the printer automatically adjust for different disc thicknesses? Do you really have to get those arrows lined up perfect?

I have the R300 and found that you need to have at least 3" behind the printer for the try to move freely for alignment. Just line up the arrows on the try with the arrows on the fold out piece of the printer...
I took me more than a few times to get it right...
